Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

I have heard nothing but good things about Shatter Me, and finally got around to reading it over Thanksgiving. (I’m behind on reviews, okay? Procrastination happens.)

I didn’t really connect with this novel from the very beginning, but I was willing to give it a try because, 1.) I know it is a well-loved novel, and 2.) Mafi’s unique style of crossing out Juliette’s thoughts was incredibly intriguing to me. I’d never come across a method like that and thought it was very creative, and a good way to make the narration feel more like readers are inside the main character’s thoughts.
